Decide to Declutter respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

Decide to Declutter is operated by Amy Goodwin.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Amy Goodwin trading as Decide to Declutter is the data controller responsible for your personal information.

The personal information I collect depends on how you interact with Decide to Declutter.
This may include:

- Information you provide when booking or enquiring about a service
- Purchase and transaction information
- Details of products or services you have purchased
- Membership and subscription information

- Information you voluntarily share within the 10 Minute Tidy Club

Please only provide personal information that is relevant to the service you are requesting.
3. Contact forms and enquiries
If you complete a contact form on my website, email me or contact me directly, I will use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry and, where appropriate, discuss or arrange my services.
This may include your name, email address, telephone number and anything you choose to include in your message.
I will not automatically add you to my general marketing email list simply because you have contacted me about an enquiry.
The lawful basis I normally rely on for this processing is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and/or my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about my business.
4. Clients and bookings
If you book a decluttering or organising service with me, I may collect information including your name, contact details and home address so that I can arrange and provide your service.
You may also choose to send me information, photographs or videos of your home before or after a session so that I can understand the space, prepare for your session, offer advice or support you with your decluttering and organising.
The main lawful basis for processing information needed to provide your booked service is that it is necessary to perform my contract with you.
5. Client photographs and videos
As part of my decluttering and organising services, clients may send me photographs or videos of their home before, during or after a session. I may also take photographs or videos during a session where this has been agreed with you.
I may use these images to understand your space, provide advice, record progress and deliver the service you have requested.
Marketing use
With your permission, I may also use before-and-after photographs or videos on the Decide to Declutter website, social media or other marketing materials.
I will ask for your permission before using your photographs or videos for marketing purposes. Permission may be given verbally or in writing.
Where you give permission for photographs or videos to be used for marketing, they may continue to be used on an ongoing basis, including for several years, in social media posts, website content and other Decide to Declutter marketing materials.
Where I rely on your consent for this use, I will keep an appropriate record of the permission you have given.

If you withdraw your consent, I will stop using the photographs or videos for new marketing purposes and will remove them from places under my control where reasonably practicable.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any use that took place before your consent was withdrawn.
Where possible, I will avoid displaying information within photographs or videos that unnecessarily identifies you or reveals private personal information.
6. Customers and purchases
If you purchase a product or service from Decide to Declutter, I will collect and use information necessary to:
- Process your order
- Process or confirm payment
- Deliver your product or service
- Communicate with you about your purchase
- Provide customer support
- Maintain appropriate financial and business records
- Deal with cancellations, refunds or disputes where applicable
This may include your name, email address, billing information, order details and transaction information.
The main lawful basis for this processing is that it is necessary to perform my contract with you.I may also need to retain certain transaction information to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
7. The 10 Minute Tidy Club
If you join the 10 Minute Tidy Club, I will use your personal information to administer and provide
your membership.
- This may include using your information to:
- Process and manage your monthly membership
- Provide your digital membership resources
- Send essential information about your membership
- Confirm that your membership is active
- Help you access the private Facebook group
- Match your Facebook account with your paid membership where necessary
- Provide weekly tasks, check-ins, Q&As and membership support
- Respond if you contact me about your membership
- Manage cancellations and payment issues
Your membership information may include your name, email address, subscription status, transaction information and, where necessary, the name you use on Facebook.
The main lawful basis for this processing is that it is necessary to perform the membership contract with you.
The private Facebook group
The 10 Minute Tidy Club includes access to a private Facebook group.
Facebook is operated by Meta and has its own privacy policies and terms.
Other members of the private group may be able to see information you voluntarily share there, including your Facebook name, profile, posts, comments, photographs or questions.
Please do not post personal information within the group that you do not want other members to see.
8. Free guides and email marketing
If you request one of my free guides or resources, I will use the information you provide to send you the resource you have requested.Where you agree to receive newsletters, decluttering tips or information about Decide to Declutter products and services, I may also use your email address to send these communications.
I use MailerLite to help manage email subscriptions, free resources and email communications. Your name and email address may therefore be stored and processed through MailerLite.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link contained in any marketing email.
Unsubscribing from marketing will not prevent me from sending essential communications about a product, service or active membership you have purchased.
9. Marketing to existing customers
Where permitted by law, I may contact existing customers about my own similar products or services.
You will always be given an easy way to opt out of marketing communications.
I will not sell your personal information to other businesses for their own marketing purposes.
10. Payments
Payments for products, services and memberships are processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe.
Payment methods offered through Stripe may include services such as Apple Pay.
Your full payment card details are handled by the relevant payment provider and are not normally received or stored by me.
I may receive information about your transaction, including your name, email address, payment status, amount paid, subscription status and transaction reference.
Payment providers process information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
11. Website, cookies and analytics
When you use my website, certain technical information may be collected automatically.
This can include information such as:

- Browser and device information
- Pages visited
- How you arrived at the website
- Date and time of visits
- Cookie and similar technology information
Some cookies are necessary for the website to function.

13. Who I share information with
I do not sell your personal information.
I may share personal information with trusted service providers where necessary to operate my business.

- Website hosting and website service providers
- Email and marketing platforms, including MailerLite
- Payment processors, including Stripe
- E-commerce systems used to process purchases or memberships
- Facebook/Meta where you participate in the private Facebook group
- Analytics providers where used
- Email and IT service providers
- Accountants, bookkeepers or professional advisers where necessary
These organisations may process personal information on my behalf or, in some cases, act as separate data controllers.
I may also disclose information where legally required or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Some service providers I use may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.
Where this happens, appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law will be used where necessary.
15. How long I keep your information
I will not keep personal information for longer than is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
How long information is retained will depend on what it is and why it was collected.

- Enquiry information will normally be kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any resulting service
- Client and membership information will be kept while needed to provide the service and for an appropriate period afterwards

- Client photographs or videos used for marketing with permission may be retained and used on an ongoing basis, including for several years, unless permission is withdrawn or they are no longer reasonably required
When personal information is no longer required, it will be deleted, anonymised or securely disposed of where appropriate.

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information from accidental loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
I also use established third-party providers to operate areas such as my website, payments and email communications.
However, no internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Under UK data protection law, depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you
- Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected
- Ask for personal information to be deleted
